The New Berlin Police Department has implemented the ArcGIS Enterprise Operations Dashboard with layers noting call summaries and police incidents/arrests. The dashboard map is used daily on large screen televisions at each shift roll call to indicate locations and information on crimes and offenders (including pictures of arrestees). In addition, access to Dashboard is on each squad computer available to officers in their vehicles and is used daily. Dashboard has increased efficiency in officers completing reports which has tremendously enhanced information sharing and ultimately, officer safety. Improved procedures for logging traffic enforcement and extra patrol activity daily on Dashboard has increased officer accountability. Dashboard has provided access to a database of commercial and residential cameras which officers use as a proactive resource to recover video of suspicious persons/vehicles. Recovered camera recordings have been used directly to quickly solve thefts and other criminal incidents. Tactical information for critical incident response plans including many floorplans and contact information for businesses, schools, and critical infrastructure have been incorporated into the Dashboard as well. Dashboard has significantly improved the ability of our officers to share information and gain instant access to resources to enhance safety and performance.
